   Dear Sir!

   I am Group B Gazetted civilian officer, recruited as Translation Officer (Russian/English) by UPSC and joined Indian Navy in 2001. After implementation of SCPC, where should be we placed and what scales should we get? Presently we have been given a grade pay of 4200!
   One of many issues which i want to highlight is that our next promotion i.e. Senior Translation Officer (STO) is a Group A cadre. Our seniors who had either promoted or got ACP after 12 years would now be given a grade pay of 5400, where as who are presently TO would now reach that grade pray (if he does not get regular promotion) after a period of 30 years.
   Can u clarify and advise us on how should we go about?

    Sir, I am retired Junior Warrant Officer of IAF and retired on 31-08-1985. As a JWO I have served for 3 months with paid rank. I came to know that as per 6th CPC holding a rank for 28days is sufficiant to get the rank pension.Presently I am drawing Sargeant pension .Please let me know wheather I am eligible for JWO pension. Presently I am drawing basic pension of sargeant of Rs.3434/= Sir it is agreat work what U are doing for armed forces personnel when no one is caring them.once again I appriciate you work THANK U VERYMUCH.

    I was retired on 31st August 2006 with basic pay of Rs 14550/-PM in pay scale of 10,000-325-15200.My basic on 1.1.2006 was 14225/ and the date of increament was 1.4. I have availed commutation of pension. Kindly calculate my revised basic on 1.1.2006 ,arrears of pay,basic pension,pension arrears , commutation arrears and gratuity arrears. Thanks.

    Some improvements were made to pension of pre-1996 retired armed force personnel wef 01.04.07 to make them at par with post 1996 retirees. It is not clear from the Govt letter dt 11.11.08 whether this aspect was taken into consideration to arrive at the consolidated pension of pre-1996 retired armed force personnel.If not, pre-1996 retired armed force personnel will be great loosers. All concerned are requested to look into this matter.

    with reference to my comments on 12th Dec 08, I would like to inform that the subsequent improvements to pension granted to pre-1996 retired armed force personnel have been taken into consideration while arriving at their revised consolidated pension wef 01.01.06 as per 6 CPC.

    Sir, I was enrolled in Army ASC (Supply) as clerk Staff duties on 03.03.1982 and retired on 31.03.1999 from the rank of Havildar. My basic pay at the time of retirement was Rs. 4500/-
    Presently I am getting pension to the tune or Rs. 3214/- P.M. Total service 17 years one month.
    What will be my present pension and what I shall get as arrear. I have been given first installment of arrear ie. 40% around Rs. 9400/- What is my pension.

    As per goi, mod letter dt 11.11.2008 regarding revision of pre-2006 defence pensioners, basic pension of an Hony Commissioned Officer (Lt) retired during 1992 comes to Rs 11865 wef 1.1.2006 vide para 4.1 and annexure I thereof, whereas as per para 5 and annexure III (as referred in para 16.3) of above letter his pension works out to Rs 13500/- as on 1.1.2006. CDA (P) Allahabad has also recently issued circular No 403 dt 2.2.2009 asking all PDAs particularly banks to adhere to the instructions issued vide above govt letter i.e consolidate the pensions which is beneficial to pbor either as per para 4.1 or para 5 of ibid letter. Please clarify what would be the basic pension as on 1.1.2006 of an Hony Commissioned Officer (Lt) retired during 1992 i.e Rs 11865/- or Rs 13500/- in view of the instructions issued by cda (P) recently.

    I retired as Hony Capt (Hony Lt on active service) on 01 Jul 91 and my basic pension just before 01 Jan 2006 was Rs 5250 + 2625 = Rs 7875. A sum of Rs 15660/- was credied in my SB Account as monthly pension by the DPDO on 01 Feb 09. On personal enquiry with DPDO office, I was informed that my basic pension on implementation of 6th CPC is Rs 13500/- + Rs2160 as DP. I hope by now all the retired personnel must have got the pension and arrears in the revised scale.

    I served in IAF wer 7-10-1967 to 31-10-1985 and I was drawing pension of Rs. 2117 (Without DP) up to now. As per the chart my new pension should be 4786 but DPDO Shimla is giving me 4060 only. On querries, they replied that this is the pension which is calculated as per their software. I tried to argue that as per government notification my pension should be 4786 but they did not care to listen further. Please advise me.
    Whether the government notification is right or the software?
    My last rank was Sergeant, group I, trade Radio fitter and my service number was 600680 R.

    Inder Singh sought a clarification on 09 Feb 09 whether the basic pension of Hony Lt (Army) is to be fixed on 1-1-2006 will be either Rs 11865 or Rs 13500. It is clarified that the basic pension to be fixed is Rs 13500. DP as on 1-7-08 is 16% viz Rs2160. So altogether as on today the total amount of pension per month is Rs 15660/-.

    Thanks Capt Joseph Sir for clarification. I am 1992 retiree (Hony Lt). The bank has fixed my basic pension @ Rs 11865/- wef 1.1.2006. Even CDA (P) Allahabad has recently issued circular No 403 dt 2.2.2009 asking the banks to consolidate the pensions which is beneficial i.e either as per para 4.1 or para 5 (annexure III as referred at para 16.3) of govt letter dt 11,11.2008. I have approached my bank to look into the matter. But they are adhering to the instructions for fixation of pension as per para 4.1 (annexure I) to govt ibid letter.

    I M V Bhaskar working as Electrical Khalasi at Hyderabad Central Electrical Division, NISA, Hakimpet, in (Central Public Works Department), possessing prescribed qualifications as mentioned in para 3.7.9(i) of the Report have represented to our Department for placing me in the Group D PB-I pay band of Rs.4860-20,200 along with grade pay of Rs.1800 according to the Gazette notified.

    But my pay was fixed and placed in Rs.4440 -7440 in the Grade Pay of Rs.1300 ie., -1S Pay Band.

    In the Gazette the following was stated:

    Placement of Group D in PB-1

    “As mentioned in para 3.7.9 (i) of the Report, all Group D employees possessing prescribed qualification shall be placed in the PB-I pay band of Rs.4860-20,200 along with grade pay of Rs.1800 with effect from 1.1.2006. Other Group D employees not possessing prescribed qualifications shall be retrained and after retraining they shall also be placed in the PB-I pay band along with grade pay of Rs.1800 with effect from 1.1.2006. Arrears shall be payable in both the cases with effect from 1.1.2006. Further, retraining should preferably be completed with in a short period, say 6 months also, so that fixation in pay band PB-I and payment arrears of salary is not unduly delayed”.

    I need a clarification regarding the fixation of pay specified above as mentioned in the Gazette.

    Is it the Group D Staff working in the Administration side ie., Attender / Peon are only eligible and shall be placed in the PB-I pay band of Rs.4860-20,000 along with grade pay of Rs.1800 (as informed in our Department) or else;

    Is there any specific guidelines or certain instructions to implement the same to all the Group D employees such Skilled / Unskilled working in other than administrative side and shall be placed in the PB-I pay band of Rs.4860-20,000 along with grade pay of Rs.1800

    Kindly clarify on the above please.

    I would like to bring to your notice that I am retired from Indian Navy as Chief Petty Officer on 30.06.1997 after a 17 years of service and also one of my friend was retired on 31.12.1997 as a Chief Petty Officer after a 17 years of service. However, there is difference in basic pension of ours, whereas lenght of service, rank held at the time of retirement and trade is same and also we both have got pension of 5th pay commission.

    I would like to know why my friend who is retired on 31.12.1997 is getting more pension than me whereas we both have got the pension as per 5th pay commission and only the difference is that I was retired on 30.06.1997 and he was retired on 31.12.1997.

    Basic pension as on 01 Jan 2006 for Hon Lt ( Army) and Hony Capt who have completed 28 years of service is Rs 13500 and 13850 respectively. DPDOs throughout the country are crediting this amount correctly. But for those who are drawing their pension directly from the bank only Rs 11865 is being credited for Hony Lt. Those who are getting less amount from the banks may take up the case to CDA (P) Allahabad.

DPDOs throughout the country are crediting the amount correctly. For those Hony Commissioned officers who are drawing their pension directly from the Bank and if they are getting less amount they may contact CDA Pension for rectification. As on 01 Jan 09 they are entitled for 22% DP also.

As per Govt orders at the time of acceptance of 6th Pay commission report, the 60% arrears will be credited during this financial year viz during the period from 01 Apr o9 to 31 Mar 09.Govt has not yet issued any instructions on this.      I No 14614455P Ex-Hav Clk (GD) Vasantha Kumar P retired from Corps of EME (after completion of 16 years of service) on 01 Mar 2006. I have not yet received my revised PPO.

     I have only received a sum of Rs. 12,167 on January’10 & a sum of Rs. 3362 on April’10. I haven’t received any other arrears yet. My pension amount is also not yet changed.

     All my cooleagues of another regiments who got retired with me have already recieved an amount nearly 2 lakh rupees and their pension has been revised upto 7000 rupees.

     I served in Border Road Organisation for more than 22 years and I took VRS wef Feb,1991.

     On seeing the VIth pay commission report that a separate allowance was given to those opted for small family norms. I was opted for the small family norms and accordingly I was given one increment only, later it was included with basic pay while calculating the pension.

     It was done at that time as per the policy existed in vogue. On seeing the current pay commission report, they have declared Rs.250- 550 according to the pay structure.

     Hope the small family norms amount will also applicable in the current rates to the pensioner.

     Will you please inform me whether the current rate is applicable for the pensioners. If so kindly let me know to whom I have to take up the issue to revise the pension and to include.

     The extra allowance will be very grate advantage to the pensioner who has not been supported by anyone.

     Govt has announced that one increment will be given to non-hindi speaking areas pers. Accordingly I have passed the Hindi exam and I was awarded one increment. That too was included with basic when it was calculated for pension. Will you through some light on this whether
     this one can be claimed separately as per the present pay commission recommendation .

     Kindly inform me what kind of benefits were given to the retired pensioners.

     I have been commissioned by the president of India in the rank hony Lt in active service with effect 15 Aug 1997. I was retired on 30 Nov 97. Hony officers were kept in pay band 3 whereas our pension should be fixed as per serving Hony Lt/capt pay fixation. It is require to revise their pay by fixing as was fixed in Vth PC to see their 28 year service giving high rate of basic pay upto Rs 36000/ for Lt and capt Rs 36,500/-. It is observed that hony Lt/capt are not getting attractive pension because of no rule has been followed in our case. Accordingly regular officer of the rank of Lt/Capt as per their service their pension should be fixed just above having their status require to give them justice giving good attractive pension as given earlier.

     I took VRS from service on 1/12/1991 from CRPF as a sub inspector steno in the pay scale of 1400-2300 after putting in 28 years of qualifying service. But came to know that the pension of Hon Lt &Hon Capt was revised as per decision of Armed Forces Tribunal Court Chandigarh on 31 May 2011. As per court order the pension of Hon LT would be 15465/- and Hon Capt would be 16140/- wef 1-Jul-2009.and the aerier will be paid in four month . but till date neither basic pension nor aerrerr paid to us.
