I retired on 1st of October 2000 as a Major. My PPO no. is M/003777/2000 and the date of commission is 21/07/1980 with net qualifying service of 31 years, 09 months and 25 days. During my service I wasn’t promoted to the rank of Lt. Col. Kindly intimate whether in terms of Govt. of India, MoD letter no. 1(5)/97/D (pay/services), dated 21st Nov 1997 and Para 5(a) (IV) of SAI 2/S/98 that officers who had become substantive majors prior to 1st Jan 1996 were granted the pay scale of Lt. Col (TS) on completion of 21 years of their service.

Please intimate whether I am entitled to recieve Lt. Col.’s pay as envisaged in the above said Govt. letter.

I RETIRED ON 31-08-1976. BUT STARTED RECEIVING SERVICE PENSION FROM 2004 ONLYDUE TO COURT CASE.
UPTO SEP 2011 IWAS RECEIVING NEARLY 18000/ PM PENSION AFTER OCT 2011 BANK IS PAYING 8550/-

3. Please provide the following details which has effected for me and also clarify regarding entitlement for Hony Nb Sub in 6th CPC Award :-

a. Last basic pay should be as per 6th CPC Award.
b. Arrears should be of pay & allowances w.e.f. 01/01/2006 to 31/10/2006 as per 6th CPC Award.
c. Arrears should be of leave encashment for 120 days as per 6th CPC Award.
d. Basic pension should be fixed on 01/11/2006 as per 6th CPC Award.
e. Arrears should be of pension w.e.f. 01/11/06 to till date as per 6th CPC Award.
f. Gratuity should be as per 6th CPC Award.
g. Commutation value as per 6th CPC Award (as 50 percentage commuted of portion of pension).
