The Indian share markets are closed today on the eve of Maha Shivratri, and I wish all the readers a Happy Shivratri. But theres a lot of action going on at the Oscar table which will keep the Indian citizens glued to their TV sets for sure. Yes Slumdog Millionaire has made it to the oscars. Its really a proud moment for all of us and the entire nation.

Slumdog Millionaire Wins Oscar
As of now when this blogpost was being written, Slumdog Millionaire had already won 2 Oscars. The first Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay and the second for Best Cinematography.It has been nominated for 8 more categories and we can expect a few more Oscars as time pass by at the Oscar night.Simon Beaufoywon the award for the Best Adopted Screenplay and Anthony Dod Mantle won the Oscar for Best Cinematography.

The other categories where it has been nomiated are Best Picture, Best Original Score For Rahman and Best Director being a few of them. Meanwhile Freida Pinto and Dev Patelhave already reached the Oscar and they are hopeful of sweeping the 81st Oscar award ceremony. The film has made India really proud and we all had big expectations from this movie and they have proved their mettle. Let us hope the movie Slumdog Millionaire wins a few more Oscars today.
