The Indian Railway Budget 2009-10 will be presented in the parliament by Ms. Mamata Banerjee just a few hours from now tomorrow. The Economic Survey Of India was presented in the parliament today which marked the beginning of Budget session. We witnessed very people friendly railway budgets till last year.

Everyone is expecting that Railway Minister will present a pro-people railway budget 2009 in the parliament tomorrow.Ms.Banerjee was quoted saying “It will be a pro-people budget, a simple budget, people’s budget. So we can expect some rate cuts in the railway budget 2009 tomorrow. She also has to maintain the consistency in making profits which the Indian railways has been making in the last 5 years.

The Kashmir rail link project is high on her agenda along with the dedicated freight corridor project. Some waiver in the super fast charges can be seen in tomorrows railway budget. The tatkal scheme may also be made more people friendly. More Garib Raths, superfast trains can be introduced.

There are some projects like railway coach factory which is going on in Sonia Gandhi’s Constituency will be put on fast track. The station upgradation on some of the stations will also be accelerated. The security arrangements in many different stations is also under the scanner and will be improved. So lets wait and see what comes out of tomorrows Indian Railway Budget 2009-10.
